Yearly Physicals and a Vaccination Protocols: Our emphasis is on your pet's total health and a yearly hands-on physical exam is essential to this. Therefore, we "profile" each pet along with the physical exam to determine your pet's unique preventative medicine needs. A wide variety of vaccination and other preventative medicine options exist, and in consultation with you, we carefully choose the exact preventative medicine protocol that best suits your pet's needs. For eligible pets, we utilize the three-year vaccines that are available.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Pain Management: Our veterinarians are dedicated to providing optimal pain management for our surgical patients as well as for patients who are sick, injured or suffer from chronic pain such as osteoarthritis from degenerative joint disease.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. We also are able to do ultrasounds for many conditions.
Electrocardiography Services: ECGs are performed on site in consultation with cardiology specialists.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet, as well as theraputic diets. We also have an On-Line Pharmacy so that you can place secure internet orders from us and have them delivered to your home.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing,, tooth extractions and oral surgery.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.
Microchipping: We use Bayer Animal Health's resQ microchips.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.
Bathing & Grooming: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available. Also, we have all breeds pet grooming by Vanessa Timmons on Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment.

Health Certificates: We are accredited to do pre-travel exams and interstate and international health certificates. Please be aware that if you travel by air, arrangements must be made well in advance in order to satisfy interstate or international travel requirements and airline requirements.
Coggins Tests: Coggins tests for Equine Infectious Anemia are performed on horses that are hauled in to our office. There is a circular driveway in the rear of the building for ease of trailering.
Euthanasia Services and Final Arrangements: We pride ourselves on making the painful event of euthanasia as easy as possible. Arrangments are flexible, and we allow owners to be present during their beloved pet's final minutes. We offer presedation for pets to make the entire procedure less traumatic. Final arrangements are made through Good Shepherd Pet Crematory (www.gshep.com) or pets may be taken for home-burials.
Trapping Feral Cats: We have a humane trap that we will loan to clients who are attempting to trap, neuter/spay and release feral cats.
