Boarding Kennels

Holmes Veterinary Hospital boasts 20 indoor runs.  The runs accommodate medium to large dogs easily and are inside our hospital building in a climate-controlled area.  There is an adjacent fenced exercise yard.  We find that cats and small dogs are more cozy in cages inside the hospital's ward, where technicians spoil them with extra attention.  Throughout the hospital and boarding areas, we can accomodate approximately 50 pets.

Pets get plenty of play time!  All medium and large dogs  are exercised outdoors in a fenced enclosure 2 to 5 times per day, weather-permitting.  Small dogs are allowed to exercise inside our ward several times a day and may be leash walked outside if you desire.

We provide blankets for your pet to snuggle up in.  Because we find that dogs in a kennel setting will sometimes soil beds that they normally do not soil at home, we discourage your bringing a pet bed. You may bring your dog's pet taxi if your dog normally sleeps in it.  You also may bring toys and blankets if desired.

Please let us know if your pet is on a special diet.  If your pet is on a special diet, please bring it and we will feed it to your specifications. Dogs that are not on a special diet are fed Hill's Science Diet Canine Maintenance dry dog food.  Cats that are not on a special diet are fed Hill's Science Diet

For your pet's protection, we require up-to-date vaccination records for all pets being boarded. These pets must have an established vaccination record with us, or you must provide written records from the veterinarian that has given the vaccinations.  If vaccination status is questionable, more vaccinations must be given before boarding.
